Queen bans plastic
The Queen has approved plans to remove plastics for all royal estates. Keen to reduce their environmental impact, plastic bottles, packaging and plastic straws are to be phased out in meetings and on-site cafes.
Recycling efforts will also be boosted across all royal estates including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
It’s not just the Royal family who are starting to take steps to reduce their environmental impact, Pizza Express, Costa Coffee, Wagamama and JD Wetherspoon have confirmed similar plans.
