Dominican Republic is the latest casualty in the war on plastic.

A conservation team known as Parley have released images showing the coastline of the Dominican
Republic covered in plastic waste, including plastic bottles and foam takeaway boxes.

The group have been working alongside other agencies, the local army, navy and city council to help
clear the waste form the shorelines of the capital Santo Domingo.
