Chancellor Spring Statement: Plastic Tax Introduction

In the Chancellor’s Spring Statement it was announced that the Government are reviewing the potential benefits to introduce taxes on single use plastic. The aim of the potential tax would be to influence a change in behaviour and to reduce plastics littering our environments. Single use plastics that have been highlighted are takeaway boxes, disposable cups, plastic wraps, and plastic bottles.
