Bristol has outbreak of Cryptosporidium
It has been reported that there has been an outbreak of Cryptosporidium in Clevedon, Bristol today (12.01.18). Residents have been told not to drink tap water without first boiling it to remove the parasite. Cryptosporidium is a microscopic parasite that causes cryptosporidiosis. Symptoms of cryptosporidiosis include diarrhoea and vomiting. Children, the elderly and those with a weakened immune system are the most vulnerable.
